About this club

The 699 is where Sub 70's iron range leaves forging behind. A 455 Carpenter steel face goes into a multi-material head, the 7-iron is 31 degrees, and the set runs 4-PW in both hands. KBS supplies most of the shaft list with the Tour, Tour Lite, Tour-V 90 and TGI, joined by UST Mamiya's Recoil ES for anyone who would rather not have steel under their hands. Flexes run senior through X-stiff and ladies is offered too.

The players-distance label fits, and the loft supports it without going overboard. Sub 70 has since built V2 and V3 versions of this head, both at 30 degrees, plus Pro variants aimed slightly tighter. That's five sets sharing one model number. Start with the loft and the face material, then work out which generation is actually in stock.
