Where the 286 stretches the loft range, the 287 stretches the bounce: 4, 6, 9, 10, 12 and 14 degrees, six options against the 286's three, across eight lofts from 46 to 60.

The head is forged from DT-4 steel with a satin or black finish. There is no left-handed version. The shaft comes from the custom list rather than a rack, anywhere from senior to X-stiff. That 4 degree option is the one to notice, because bounce that low is for firm ground and a shallow, sweeping strike, and offering it alongside a 14 means one model can be set up for links turf or soft parkland without anything else about the club changing.
