About this club

Srixon's current game improvement iron keeps the 28.5 degree 7-iron its predecessor carried and rebuilds the head around it. Construction is multi-material with a maraging steel face, sets run 4-PW in either hand, and the shafts are KBS Tour Lite in steel or KBS TGI Tour in graphite. Flexes cover senior through X-stiff. Golf Pride's Tour Velvet 360 is the grip.

Reading the ZXi range by loft alone produces a surprise. The ZXi5 above it is weaker at 31 degrees despite carrying the players-distance label, so the ZXi4 is actually the longest of the three. What it gives up is shape, since the head is larger and the offset more generous. Anyone stepping down from a players iron should hit both before assuming the numbers tell the story.
