PXG Black Hawk Putter

Black Hawk brings PXG's choose-your-hosel approach outside the Battle Ready II range, with four necks available: heel shafted, plumber's neck, double bend and armlock. As elsewhere on this system, no single toe hang applies because the hang arrives with the neck. What sets this head apart is the face, which is 6061 aluminium rather than the 303 stainless PXG uses almost everywhere else.

Aluminium changes the sound and softens the strike, and on a mallet this size that is a deliberate choice rather than a weight-saving one. PXG describes the head as high MOI, though the footprint is a conventional trapezoid without wings, so it reads as a mallet at address rather than as one of the winged shapes that usually carry the label.
