About this club

Onset is the newer idea in putter hosels and Ping uses it across the Scottsdale TEC range. Setting the shaft ahead of the face instead of behind it reverses the usual offset and takes the toe hang to nothing, which suits a stroke that stays square. The head is a white multi-material mallet with a Pebax insert, at 34 and 35 inches in both hands.

White at address is a divisive choice and worth testing rather than reading about. It contrasts hard against green turf, which some golfers find helps them frame the head and others find distracting. A counterbalanced version of this model exists at 37.75 inches in right hand only. Ketsch Onset adds slight hang.
