About this club

Precision-forged S20C carbon steel, a cavity back, and the first time Nike put a NexCOR face on a forged iron. That combination is the whole idea: the softer feel of a forging with a face built for ball speed, which in 2014 was still an unusual thing to attempt in one head.

At 31 degrees the 7 iron reads the same as the cast Covert 2.0, and the set ships the same eight clubs, so loft and makeup separate nothing here. Material and shaft do. A Nippon N.S. Pro 950GH is stock in regular or stiff, lighter and more specific than the Dynalite the cast set carries, and both hands were served.
