Strong toe hang shows up exactly once in Mizuno's M.Craft line, on this blade with its short slant neck. Every other combination in the range lands at moderate, slight or face balanced. A golfer who releases the head hard through the ball doesn't have much to weigh up. Forged 1025E carbon steel, charcoal or nickel, two lengths.

Short slant necks usually reduce toe hang compared with a plumber's, which makes it worth noticing that Kyoto S hangs harder than the plumber's-necked Kyoto P sitting beside it. Same head, more hang, from the neck you'd expect to give less. The two are otherwise identical on paper, right down to the shaft, the grip and the pair of finishes. Kyoto P is also built left-handed where this one isn't. Feel them both before deciding.
