About this club

Hot Metal Pro takes the standard Hot Metal's 28 degree 7-iron and puts it in a smaller head. That's the whole positioning: same Chromoly casting, same strong lofts, less offset and a thinner topline for golfers who don't want a game improvement shape. Stock shafts are True Temper Dynamic Gold 105 in steel and Mitsubishi's MMT in graphite, ladies through X-stiff, and sets are 4-PW in either hand. Lamkin's UTX+ is the grip.

Mizuno's 925 range gives you three ways to get to a strong lofted iron. The standard Hot Metal is the forgiving version, the HL weakens to 31 degrees for height, and the Pro is what you take if the look at address matters as much as the number on the sole. Forged models sit above all three on feel.
