Honma TW777 Fairway Wood

Four lofts, an adjustable hosel and a swappable front weight make this the configurable end of Honma's fairway line, built for the player who actually changes a setting once in a while. Head size runs up to 180cc through the 3 and 4 wood and steps down again in the 5 and 7, trading footprint for a shape that sits closer to the turf as loft climbs. A stainless body carries a carbon crown, which puts weight low and back instead of up top where it does nothing useful.

The 16 gram front weight is the lever worth learning. Forward, spin comes down. Back, the flight climbs and settles. Lofts go 15, 16.5, 18 and 21 degree, so there's a real 4 wood in the middle and no awkward jump from 3 to 5. Stiff and x-stiff, right-handed. Its Max sibling sits at up to 200cc with a bonded hosel and fixed weighting, for anyone who'd sooner leave it alone.
