ORIGIN's compact square back mallet is an unusual combination on paper. The ER8 pairs a mallet footprint with ten degrees at the toe, where most mallets that size sit closer to face balanced, so it reads as extra stability at address without the straight stroke requirement that normally comes attached to a head this shape. Arc players told for years to buy a blade should try one.

Weights are 385, 370 and 355 grams for the 33, 34 and 35 inch lengths. Evnroll fits a chrome single bend KBS CT Tour and a red and white TourTac as standard, in right and left hand, over a satin 303 stainless head carrying SweetFace milling. Choose it over the ER5 when you want mallet forgiveness but your stroke has never been straight. More golfers should try it.
