About this club

A 27.5 degree 7-iron is aggressive by any standard, and it defines Cobra's 2026 KING iron. The head is multi-material with a stainless steel face, sold 5-PW, and the shaft choices are KBS Tour Lite in steel or KBS PGI in graphite. SuperStroke's Crossline Black is the stock grip. Flexes run light through X-stiff and left-handed sets are made.

Cobra files this as players distance, which is fair on looks, though the lofts belong further down the scale. Golfers moving into it from a traditional set should expect the wedges to need rethinking, because half a degree either way at the 7-iron compounds quickly. The KING MAX sits two degrees weaker at 29.5 with a more forgiving head, and that's the safer starting point for most. Speed comes at a cost, and here it's gapping.
