About this club

Black PVD covers the heads and the shafts on this version of Cobra's KING CB/MB, and the finish is the only real difference. Underneath it's forged 1025 carbon steel with a 34 degree 7-iron, sold as a 4-PW that customers usually split between cavity backs in the long irons and muscle backs below. KBS $-Taper in Black PVD is the stock steel, flexes from light to X-stiff, in both hands.

Dark finishes on players irons are a taste question with one practical side. Glare is reduced at address, which some golfers find calming and others find distracting, so it's worth looking at both before committing. The standard KING CB/MB is identical in specification with a chrome finish and a Lamkin Crossline 360 grip. Nothing about the black version plays differently. It just looks like it should.
