Callaway Big Bertha Hybrid

Callaway's answer to the long iron problem is this hybrid ladder: seven heads from 19 to 36 degrees, every one on an adjustable hosel moving two degrees, so the gaps can be tuned against whatever irons come out of the bag. Construction follows the family recipe, a cast body flexing behind a 455 steel face cup, the crown carbon fiber. It's a lot of range from one model.

Most golfers will carry two or three of these, picking numbers to match the irons they're dropping, which is exactly what the adjustability is for. The stock build keeps decisions light, the RCH 65i graphite shaft in light, regular or stiff under a Callaway Universal grip, with left-handed heads from the 3 through the 7 hybrid. Below it, the Big Bertha irons carry the same forgiveness brief into the scoring clubs.
