Its Open Cavity Design head is wider through the sole, thicker at the topline and carries more offset than anything else in the range, but it is still pressed from steel instead of cast. Mid handicappers get the help without giving up the soft strike that brought them to a Hogan iron in the first place.

Lofts run two degrees stronger than the Icon and PTx Pro sets, putting the 7 iron at 32 degrees, and the stock build is seven clubs from 4 to pitching wedge. Its shaft rack is the longest Hogan offer, eleven deep, taking in three separate KBS families alongside Dynamic Gold 105 and a spread of UST Recoil graphite, from senior at the soft end to X-stiff at the firm.
