A 28 degree 7 iron tells you most of what you need to know about where this set sits. XXIO has never tried to build a players iron and is not starting now: the stock run is seven clubs, 5 through pitching wedge plus a sand wedge, cast, and unashamedly built to put the ball in the air for someone who cannot lean on speed to do it. Face alloy actually shifts as the set descends, so the long irons and the scoring clubs are not made of the same thing.

Shafts come both ways, XXIO's MP1400 graphite or N.S.Pro 850GH neo DST steel, across three flexes. Left-handed stock is a shorter 6 through pitching wedge. Nothing subtle about it, and nothing apologetic either.
