Cobra DARKSPEED X Fairway Wood

Two LIN-Q shafts, a Blue 6 and a Red 5, give the DARKSPEED X a choice the MAX doesn't offer, and the flex range behind them runs from light all the way to X-stiff. Lofts are conventional here, 15, 18 and 21 degrees, with none of the half-degree strengthening the MAX uses.

The head matches the MAX at 170cc, multi-material with a steel face, but the weighting is fixed and only the hosel moves. That's the trade for a cleaner shape. Cobra positions the X between the forgiveness of the MAX and the strong lofts of the LS, which in practice means it suits a golfer wanting a fairway wood that behaves predictably rather than one built to rescue a particular miss.
