About this club

MAX W was Callaway's women's Mavrik hybrid, and the 2022 version is the same head brought back with a lighter build. It's a cast steel hybrid with a 455 Carpenter steel face, a bonded hosel and fixed internal weighting, so nothing on the club moves and nothing needs a wrench. Ladies flex is the stock build.

What it does well is simple: get a slow to moderate swing airborne from the fairway and the rough with a head that's easy to set down square. Both hands are offered. The men's Mavrik hybrid uses the same construction with a standard-weight build, so a faster swinger could look there, but for most the MAX W build is the better match, and the lighter feel is the reason.
